Why choose Westbury?
As a working mother of three teenagers, I know how important it is to be someone you can rely upon.
That’s why I want my business to be known for its reliability as well as for its high level of customer service. We want to provide a service that you can trust.
I have spent more than 25 years in the care and support sector where adapting to individual people’s needs is vital. I also understand what it’s like trying to juggle work and family life.
I set up my ironing business so that I can fulfil my aspirations of becoming a successful businesswoman and continue to care for my son. He has multiple learning difficulties and is a full-time wheelchair user who requires 24 hour care.
So, here at Westbury, we will do everything we can to help you and that means working outside normal business hours. You can call us anytime and we promise to get back to you as soon as we can.
To us, the things that matter most are being:
Reliable – you can trust us to be there when you need us
Professional – we promise you a high standard of customer service
Genuine – we always do our best because we really care
Supportive – we’ll adapt to suit your needs
Helping people to be more independent
Here at Westbury, we have a clear vision. We want to teach people new life and work skills so that they can become more independent.
In January 2017, we plan to run short courses for students, people who have never learned how to iron and adults with learning difficulties or physical disabilities.
Having worked or volunteered in the social care sector for so many years and having a son with disabilities means I both understand and appreciate that people with disabilities want to be as independent as possible.
When I set up Westbury in July 2015 as a part-time venture the plan was to grow and offer work and training opportunities to local people with learning difficulties or physical disabilities.
I’m proud to say that we have developed this venture as planned. We now have a new ironing studio at Landau Training and Enterprise Centre in Newstead, Stoke-on-Trent where we employ three part-time staff and where we will hold the new workshops in the New Year.
Another great reason to choose Westbury!
CASE STUDY 1
Mrs S, who lives in Seabridge with her husband and two children, calls regularly on a Sunday morning. Each time we have picked up her ironing basket within an hour and returned it within eight hours. All ready to start the new week. She is one very happy customer.
CASE STUDY 2
Mr T lives in Newcastle with his wife and young daughter and texts me each week. I collect his ironing at a time that suits him and always have it back within 48 hours. This often means dropping it off on a Saturday morning. No problem, it’s all part of the service.
CASE STUDY 3
48 hours from door to door
Mrs W lives in Whitmore with her husband and had been looking for someone to help with her ironing. I collected over 30 items on a Monday evening at 6pm and returned it neatly folded or on hangers, covered and ready to wear – all within 48 hours. She was very pleased with the service and has promised to call me again.
