We’ve been in business since 2015 and we value all our staff as well as our customers. We’re keen to promote equality, which is why we offer work experience opportunities and volunteering programmes to adults with learning and or physical disabilities or Autism. To date we have supported three adults with such disabilities to get into further paid or voluntary work. We are also working locally with the Department of Work and Pensions on their Disability Confident Employer Scheme and are signed up as a Disability Confident Employer.

I’ve spent more than 25 years in the care and support sector where adapting to individual people’s needs is vital. I also understand what it’s like trying to juggle work and family life. I set up my ironing business so that I can fulfil my aspirations of becoming a successful businesswoman and continue to care for my son. He has multiple learning dificulties and is a full-time wheelchair user who requires 24 hour care. So, here at Westbury, we will do everything we can to help you and that means working outside normal business hours. You can call us anytime and we promise to get back to you as soon as we can. Mrs S, who lives in Seabridge with her husband and two children, calls regularly on a Sunday morning. Each time we have picked up her ironing basket within an hour and returned it within eight hours. All ready to start the new week. She is one very happy customer.

Mr T lives in Newcastle with his wife and young daughter and texts me each week. I collect his ironing at a time that suits him and always have it back within 48 hours. This often means dropping it off on a Saturday morning. No problem, it’s all part of the service
